Over the past months i have looked out my kitchen window at our veggie garden and sighed at the lack of time, enthusiasm i have had to do anything with it after out crop of veggies over summer was eaten by hungry possums, even all our chili plants were demolished by our hungry 4 legged friends. but after hearing some persistent talk from Hugo and reading an inspirational blog jellybabyblog i started to get my enthusiasm back.
so last week Hugo and I had been preparing our garden bed for some planting. we weeded and turned the dirt over

today we went to the nursery and selected some seedlings to plant.
Hugo chose broccoli, carrots, lettuce and some peas seeds ( which Archie is holding)
when we got home there was careful raking again and then we planted.

now we just have to make sure those pesky possums stay away
